Storage Tanks, Above or Below Ground
The operation of chemical and petroleum storage tanks has become much more complicated within the past few years. The Federal government along with all State governments has instituted specific laws covering the operation and maintenance of aboveground, underground and submerged storage tanks. CCC can help you meet these new guidelines such as: ASTM ES-40 for Underground Storage Tanks and the EPA’s, Inspection and Compliance Priorities For Underground Storage Tank Systems Part 280 Regulations.

CCC is experienced with NACE standards for protection of Storage Tanks including: RP0285-95, TM0101-2001, RP0193-2001 and many other NACE Standards and Practices.
CCC has been a resource for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) State Agency. CCC has provided tutorial classes for State Inspectors and supported investigations into improper underground storage tank cathodic protection installations.
The law is plain on the issue of public safety and storage tanks. The cathodic protection system must be designed and installed under the direct supervision of a licensed Professional Corrosion Engineer.
Not only are installations by others improper and illegal, poorly engineered cathodic protection systems can cause massive damage to the storage tanks and other facilities in the area. The civil liability can easily exceed millions of dollars including possible criminal charges.
There are hundreds of “OUTLAW,” cathodic protection installers operating in the United States. They have no Engineering Licenses and no contractor’s license to install cathodic protection systems. CCC nearly everyday helps customers who have been victims of these “Con Artists.” Don’t let your company become a victim too.

CCC can help you install a properly designed cathodic protection system for your aboveground, underground, and submerged storage tanks.
CCC can perform internal and external inspections of your tanks, including robot monitors that can enter contaminated areas. CCC can install full anode bed solutions including ribbon anodes, directional bored anode & monitor placement, and full corrosion monitoring systems for your storage tank or tank farm.
Let CCC help you avoid storage tank problems and help keep the environment clean.
